How to Quickly Create an Adsense Site That Brings In the Bucks.

One of the hottest - es for online marketers is Adsense sites. These marketers trade in information and build sites that are tightly focused around one small niche. To build an Adsense site, all a marketer needs is a Google Adsense account, a website (or even a free blog account), and some articles. When the marketer makes his site live, he includes the Adsense HTML code so that it serves ads alongside his content.

These sites place well in the search engines because they are content-based. Most often, articles are keyword-focused, meaning each article focuses on one word or phrase. Once the sites are indexed by the search engines, and once marketers drive traffic to the site, they leave it alone, let it run itself, and create another Adsense site. It isn't unusual for a marketer to have 50 or more of these sites scattered all over the internet.

The way the marketer makes money from these sites is via the Adsense ads. Because the ads are served based on the content, the ads are targeted. That means that if someone finds your site from the search engine, they are interested in your niche (because they were the ones searching!). Thus, they are also interested in the ads on your site. When they - on one (or more), you are paid a fraction of the advertising cost Google takes in.

For example, suppose you set up a site focused on baseball. You choose to target the "American League East Division" as your focus. You could put up one article on each team-Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay - Rays-and an RSS feed that collects news on each team. Put this feed on each page, so each page is constantly updated (to bring readers back). Then, add your Adsense code. Likely, the ads will be about baseball apparel or tickets, things people interested in this topic would be interested in.

As people interested in baseball, and especially AL East teams, find your site, they will read and possibly bookmark the site or add it to their RSS reader. Even - ter, they will probably - on your ads and you will make money.

You can set up a site like this in one day-get a web host, an Adsense account, and put up five articles. That's it. If you don't have articles or don't want to write them, you can inexpensively pay someone to write them for you.

Put it together, then move on to the next site.

If you need articles, contact me. I write 300-500 word articles for $50 for 4, or $99 for 10. If you need more articles than that, or want me to work on a larger project, let me know, and we'll negotiate it out.

What is Google AdSense?.

In the mid 1990's websites used to earn income by receiving money from advertisers by publishing or allowing companies to deploy a banner ad campaign on your website. Usually these banners would be brilliantly designed to catch the eye of the consumer along with a short message. The website in turn would receive a tiny profit from a - -through, which was when a customer actually - ed on the banner and went into the website and purchased the product. This was considered traffic-driven income. It was the industry standard until Google came along.

Google has since revolutionized the - -through market by using an innovative approach to advertising, Google AdSense. The beauty behind getting involved with Google now more than any other search engine is due to Google's straightforward approach to a banner/content-free home page. You would sign up your website for affiliation with Google and upon approval your site would be given special code to place the targeted ads on your website. Basically saving Google the space and inconvenience of having to deal with banner ads.

You still may be wondering what Google AdSense actually does. AdSense is a program in which you get paid for targeting your readers to another websites product or service.

A - through is measured when someone actually - s on the hyperlink. Many web sites now have Google AdSense ads employed. Google AdSense uses Google Adwords content and services in a display box that you place strategically on your website. Google Adword customers pay Google a determined amount of money which will be paid to the website from Google. Since the popularity of Google has risen to such prominence, AdSense affiliates can make a nice amount of money should they be able to deploy the Google AdSense box properly on their website.
Other sites like Earthlink and Ask.com also employ the same technologies through - through methodologies. The more people that visit popular sites and see your name or hyperlink associated with a product the - ter chance your site will be seen. Remember, you will be paid a small amount per - for some websites and much more for others. What determines the amount is how much the Adwords advertiser places on each - .

Advertisers can pay as little as .50 per - in upwards of $5 (even more). Often campaigns are budgeted for a period of time. The amount budgeted will be rationed over a period of days, the less days involved or the higher price per - the higher the ranking. The more traffic you receive will increase the possibility of a sale and a - through fee in your account.

In short, Google's idea to market itself from the inside out has changed the way websites are doing business. Starting as an AdSense affiliate is a practical approach to making money using one of the hottest tools on the Internet today.

Maximise Your AdSense Earnings.

Maximise Your AdSense Earnings.

As a blog or site owner, you can make some cash with Google's AdSense pretty easily. To maximise your potential earnings, here are some tips that may help you:

1. Create Well-designed Sites

People are impatient and will not tolerate poorly designed websites. Make sure that your site's colour scheme is overly gaudy, glaring, or plain hard-to-read. Use a readable font size, and always make use of bulleted lists, dividers and make your paragraphs short whenever possible.

Never create an overloaded website and always focus your content. Ensure that your navigation is easy to understand and that the user will intuitively know where to - to get to where he wants. A good well-designed website is the first step in attracting more visitors.

2. Place AdSense Ads On Pages With Content

Content in this case means text, because images and other media may not return targeted ads. Only text is used by Google's targeting technology to determine what kind of ads will be served.

3. Make Them Prominent

Put your ads in a place where your visitors will have a high chance of looking at them. For example, place them in the middle of your content, or above the fold of the page, where they can see your ad before scrolling down.

4. Customise Your Ad Colours

Google allows you to customise the colour of ads, so why don't you? There are two schools of thought here: You either make the ads look like part of your site, or make them look very outstanding. For variety's sake, you can even rotate up to 4 different color palettes for a particular ad.

5. Use Appropriate Ad Formats

AdSense has a number of ad formats available for you to choose from, so make use of them to create ads that suit your layout best.

6. Double-check Framed Ads

If your page uses frames, check that you have selected the Framed page checkbox on the Ad Layout page. Otherwise, AdSense cannot gather the proper information about your site and will not be able to serve targeted ads.

In fact, I highly recommend that you place this line in the AdSense code of all your ads anyway:

google_page_url = document.location;

It's just for the simple reason that while your site may be frames-free, someone might have - ed through to your site while in someone else's frames, and your ads may not be showing targeted ads anymore.

7. Use channels to track performance

Channels are the best tool to analyse your ad performance. Use them to determine the performance of a page or site. Test your colour schemes, placement and formats with channels to tell which are the performers that you want to keep. Remember to give your channels descriptive names that you will be able to understand.

Adsense Tricks to Explode Your Profits.

Lots of people say to make your ads blend in. However, some people are having a lot of success by making their links stand out. The most effective style seems to be having your links blue, while your other links are a less-noticeable color. A good example can be seen at www.lockergnome.com

- Place images directly above your ads. This simple technique has been known to increase CTR by 400%. To keep the images fresh some people randomize related images on their site using PHP code. You can see an example of these images at

http://www.how-to-make-money-online.info/

- Google has cited the 336x280 large rectangle as the most effective ad size.

- Place ads where your visitors will likely be focused.

Check out this heat map by Google -

http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html

- Weave your articles into your content. This is shown at lockergnome.com

- Place - units in the top left-hand corner. This part of the website has shown to be - ed on more than any other part of the page. You can see an example at lockergnome.com. (Look at the links at the top, towards the left in blue.)

- Take advantage of the "alternate URL" feature to avoid Public Service Ads that seep money away from your website.

- One of the best things you can do is add additional pages to your site. A web site with thousands of pages and tons of content often does very well in the search engines. You can get free content from article directories. You could also use public domain content, which is a favorite tactic of John Reese. Or, you could use content in the creative commons. This is getting easier than ever now that Yahoo and others have created a search engine specifically for content in the creative commons.

Succeeding with adsense is largely determined by the amount of traffic to your site. However, there are many adsense tricks that you can employ to get the most possible out of your site. Often times, this means doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling your earnings. The key is to find out what works for your web site. Testing and tracking is the key to increased revenue!
